Living and Working in...
A range of individually tailored, comprehensive pre-departure briefings for any destination country or region.
Living and Working in Britain
Aimed at those newly arrived in the UK, this programme provides practical advice and country specific information, delivered in an informative and interactive style.
Family Programmes
Available for any destination, each customised Family Programme is tailored to the specific needs and interests of the parents and their children, with parallel sessions providing content appropriate for the ages of the participants (8-12 years and 13-16 years).
Repatriation
Returning home after an overseas assignment can be exciting yet daunting. During the time away there will almost certainly have been some significant changes in everyday life in Britain, which will affect both work and home. The impression that returning is easier than going on assignment is something that everyone who has been through the process would challenge. This tailored programme ensures that each participating member of the family receives useful information and support appropriate to their needs.
The Result
By the end of the programme participants will be equipped with the information required for a speedy and successful adaptation to their new country or return home, allowing them to become more effective, more quickly, in their new role.
Format
Assignment briefings are offered on a regularly scheduled ‘open’ or ‘tailored’ basis.
1 day Open Briefings are available to participants and partners from any company to cover any destination country. These programmes are particularly suitable for those with no or very limited expatriate experience. The content focuses on areas that complement information independently obtained allowing in-depth discussion with country experts about both business and social issues. It also includes an overview of the importance of cultural awareness, a look at the specific culture in the context of values and attitudes as well as advice on culture shock and how to deal with it.
Tailored programmes are normally 1 day and can be delivered at a date of the participants' choosing (subject to availability). Suitable for both new and more seasoned expatriates and partners the content can be tailored based on the participant’s level of experience.
Repatriation and Family programmes are available on a tailored basis only.
